Courtyard
He, in beige pants and a short sleeve blackKenneth cole.
He arrived with a bouquet of lilies; light purple, pink and white, in purple wrapping.
Minutes later, they were off to the unknown place, which turned out to be "Courtyard"
It was a bungalow converted into a restaurant. They serve fusion. A live jazz band was playing.
The place and ambience was a moment to capture. Dim orange lights, and they had some arabic decoration as the previous night, they catered for an arabic themed wedding. Hence the decoration.
Sat near the band, the table was clothed with white linen. Rose petals were scattered carelessly on the table, and there was a bowl with a tiny candle in it. Dark brown wooden chairs completed the whole picture.
After browsing through the menu, she decided to have the Aglio Olio and he, the lamb.
Appetizers were quite different, the baguette was sliced into tiny cubes, there was a saucer with cream cheese and another with olive oil with chunks of garlic and some sort of black sauce..
They had a bottle of Bordeaux (pronounced as Bor'dow), white.
Main course came minutes later. His, served in an oval shaped dish, wherelse hers remained in the common round dish.
Olio was superb. As olio does not have much sauce, the spices are an important part to make the dish tasty. The olio was done to perfection. His lamb, medium rare, the most perfect state. Soft, moist and juicy...
The dinner lasted for almost 3 hours, they were sipping their wine, enjoying the band, whereby the singer dedicated a song for her, "Fallen by Lauren Wood"
The dinner crew later brought a dish carrying a beautifully decorated piece of chocolate cake, sang a birthday medley for her. The cake was simply amazing. So soft that it melts as soon as it touched your tongue.
They ended the night with a slow dance. Dream a little dream of me certainly aced the night.
